I'm Stéphane Lepain. By day I work in infrastructure in the aviation industry — the kind of environment where every system has to answer to auditors, regulators, and people whose job is to say no.

Two years ago, on my own time and my own hardware, I started building what I couldn't find anywhere: a private AI stack that a compliance-bound team could actually defend. Not a demo — a production system I run 24/7: chat, local and commercial models behind one router, document processing, monitoring, tested recovery.

It's been my best teacher. It taught me that silent failure is a design problem. That fabrication is an architecture problem. That hybrid beats absolutism. That the boring parts — backups, runbooks, pre-flight checks — are where trust actually comes from. And that a single disciplined operator with a properly engineered stack can run what usually takes a team.

CPLT is where I put those lessons to work for others: EU teams in healthcare, legal, and finance who need AI without surrendering their sensitive data to get it.
